Weekly Rainfall Forecast 17-23 October 2023

• While several Puntland districts experienced moderate rain last week as forecasted, some areas may instead anticipate moderate precipitation in the range of 20 to 50 mm next week (October 17–23).
• The weekly rainfall forecast indicates over 100 mm of rain would likely be received in the regions of Mudug, Nugaal, Cayn, and some localized areas of Sool, Sanaag, and Karkaar regions.
• The regions of Bari, Raas-casayr, Haylaan, and the coastal districts of Karkaar would probably have a low likelihood of rain, according to the weekly forecast map.
• The communities in the flood-prone areas of Mudug, Nugaal, and Cayn districts are advised to take care until October 23, 2023.
