weekly Rainfall forecast 21 – 25 may 2023

• The rainfall forecast for the coming week is likely to be received in some areas of Puntland, the anticipated rainfall amount ranges (25 – 50) mm.
• According to the rain forecast map, the regions of Sanaag, Haylaan, Sool, Cayn, Nugaal, and some localized areas of Karkar are expected to reach more than (100) mm of precipitation, which could result in flash floods.
• The forecast map shows that there is little likelihood of rain in coastal areas.
• The communities in the districts of Qardho, Burtinle, Ceerigabo, Laasqoray, and Las’anod, and Buuhoodle are advised to be precaution for unexpected flash floods on the days of 21-25th of May.

Users are advised that this is a forecast, and at times there may be discrepancies between estimates and actual amounts of rainfall received. During the rainy season IMC will produce updated forecast on the weekly basis.
